“ My husband and only stop by when we're travelling, but we love it there. Great food at reasonable prices, and a lot of it. We love the hot table where you can get you food almost instantly. ”
“ Old school diner. Nicest service ladies ever ! Food is always good. Carrot cake is the best !! ”
“ Coming here is like stepping back in time! It's like we went back to the late 70's - early 80's! There are lots of booths and tables - also dated. Dessert / Pie coolers are up front by the registers, a lunch counter where singles can eat, and waitresses that seem old/ experienced enough to have been here since it opened! (And they call you "sweetheart!"). On our visit, the hubs and I (50's) were the youngest people in the place. Every single customer had to have been about 70+! The menu is an old school American diner type menu with burgers, sandwiches, and chicken fried steak type offerings. The food was good, if you like typical diner type fare. A very interesting place to try if you want good food at a good price, with great service! ”
“ It is great to have Tony back. He sold it and financed it. He had to take it back. Now it is like Tony's use to be. Do not let the 3.5 stars fool you. Good restaurant. 5 stars ”
“ What a cute spot! The service is actually EXCELLENT. I ordered pancakes and sausage. Cleaned my plate, my niece had chicken tenders and fries, we bothered loved! My mom got an omelette she killed it and my step dad chose a chicken salad. Everyone enjoyed this food and our time, our waitress was great and she even got us some white wine with orange juice. Will recommend and come back to try other items on their menu. Hate I didn't get pics or my servers name though ”
“ I've visited a few times over the years, probably the last time was during their last time opening in the 1990s. I recently had a project in the Sealy area, so it was a good time to visit again. Their lunch specials are from 1030 until they are sold out. The chicken fried steak price jumps up to dinner pricing at 3 pm. I have only ordered the cfs here. So I can mainly just vouch for that. On my recent visit. I came around 305pm, and it was a pretty late lunch. The chicken fried steak, along with most of their entrees, comes with 2 sides. I chose green beans and baked potato for about $3 extra. Cfs - it's a small beef cutlet, likely around 6oz and pretty dense and thin. The good part is , meat comes to the edge of the breading, so you don't have a lot of extra breading to throw away. It's not the best cfs in Texas by any means, but it will do most days. The green beans are canned and come with sliced mushrooms. The baked potato is decent but uses cheap bacon bits, and some of the potato isn't fully cooked sometimes. Overall, the service is pretty good since they have a lot of staff to come check on you. They do have a good selection of homemade pies for dessert. They had about 8 on the last visit. I chose the coconut custard pie, which is one of my very favorites and one that I usually make at home since you rarely see it at restaurants. This is a pretty similar recipe to the one i make at home; therefore, I approve and give them 4 stars overall for good comfort food. ”
“ Tony's!!!! Omg my mouth waters... I eat here every chance that I get!! The best home style cooking. & Tony' is so sweet, he'll come to ur table & greet u with a hug & a smile. This place is not filthy, it's an old building that has been here for Years!! Smh.. guess they are used to new buildings.. where every nook & cranny is spotless. Also, the food is well seasoned, I guess some people want it super salty. Cant please everyone. Good day! ”
“ Great local place in the middle of town with friendly service. Very casual but people will be dressed up sometimes after church or on special occasions. Good for small or big groups with no wait, usually. Delicious food all around but I definitely prefer their breakfast! ”
